NVIDIA Announces 2008-2009 Fellowship Program

NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in programmable graphics processor technologies, announced it is accepting applications for the NVIDIA Fellowship Program for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Dr. David Kirk, Chief Scientist at NVIDIA, stated: "The NVIDIA Fellowship Program is designed to stimulate and support excellence in graphics and computing research in universities worldwide and to promote communication between NVIDIA’s R&D team and outstanding students and professors. Since its inception in 2002, the Program has awarded over one and a quarter million dollars in funding to assist 55 Ph.D. students with their research."

The Program provides funding to Ph.D. students who are researching topics that will lead to major advances in the graphics and high-performance computing industries. Recipients not only receive crucial funding for their research, but are able to conduct groundbreaking work with access to NVIDIA products, technology, and some of the most talented minds in the field.
